Update on 4901 Bergenline Ave (The Station)

Work is progressing nicely on Bergenline Station. The beginning excavations and underpinning of all outer walls below ground is completing along the front and side elevations.
June 28, 2019
‘Phase 1 Demolition’ scope of work throughout the building’s basement and 1st floor has been substantially completed.
May 17, 2019
Progress on The Station going smoothly with basement demo finishing up and excavation for underpinning started.
May 13, 2019
Phase 1 Interior Demolition approx. 60% complete
First floor all debris removed, walls removed to brick, all partition walls and non-structural ceiling elements removed
Basement partition walls and non-structural walls being demolished, piping and utility conduit being removed
December 3, 2018
The design team is in process of redesigning the foundation plan to leave the first floor elevations as requested by building department.
The demolition contractor has already been contracted in preparation for work.
Asbestos removal is to begin around 10/15/2018 and will take estimated 3 weeks to complete.
Subject to approval, demolition will then begin with an estimated duration of about 2-3 months at which time the City is expected to be ready for review and approval.
Upon subject to receiving full building permits, construction will then proceed with an estimated construction timeline of about 22 months.
