Rey Grabato (Managing Partner NRIA) has a broad background in business development, finance, accounting, and construction management. He spent twelve years in the realty finance business where he pre-underwrote, underwrote, approved, and/or approved funding for more than $200 million of loans across residential, small balance commercial and construction loans for Wholesale Financial Advisors, Apex Financial, and First 2nd Mortgage of NJ. It is in this capacity where he became proficient in construction draw auditing and the entire inspection processes. It was in 2006 where he was introduced to the 10-year tax abatement programs being offered in the City of Philadelphia, and although he started to recognized the frothiness of the overall mortgage / housing markets he also saw an opportunity to develop in a [core] urban market at a much lower basis. National Realty Investment Advisors opened in mid/late 2006 with a small group of investors to build and renovate investment properties via advantageous tax benefit programs available in Philadelphia. Over the past 10+ years Mr. Grabato has successfully assembled additional key personnel to run every facet of the investment, management, and development business today. The firms expansion and strategic construction & property management agreements with US Construction and Premier Access, respectively, have allowed NRIA to focus on scale and efficiency. Currently projects range (in general) between $3M and $25 M, with the company having delivered more than $500 M in total asset value since 2010, and significant returns for a growing investor base, all of which has laid an extremely solid foundation to hit the firm’s 2017 targets of $200M(+) in deal volume.
